Questions people actually ask
What is a Spark?
One Spark is one letter that tears open on their phone: the envelope, your words, a photo, a voice note, the music, the confetti, and an email to you the moment it is opened. No app for them, no account for you. Every plan is counted in Sparks.
Do I need an account?
No. You write the letter, pay for it, and it sends. We keep your email so we can tell you when they open it and so your Sparks are waiting next time. That is the whole extent of it.
Is this a subscription?
Only if you pick one of the monthly plans, and you can see which those are — they say "a month" on the price. Everything else is a one-off payment. Sparks from a bundle sit on your email address for twelve months and never auto-renew.
What happens if it does not arrive?
Email us and we will resend it or refund it, usually within the hour. Delivery is the one thing you are paying for, so we do not argue about it.
Can I schedule a card?
Up to a year ahead, on every plan, the free one included. Write it while you remember, pick their time zone, and it arrives at 6 am where they are.
Does the recipient need an app or an account?
Neither. They tap a link and the envelope tears open to your letter. It works on any phone made in the last decade, including on a bad connection.
What is on the free plan, really?
3 Sparks a month. Each is a full letter, emailed for you or handed over on a tag or a printed QR code, scheduled if you like, with a small GreetSpark mark on the card and the video. The table below has every line.
Can I put a card on an NFC tag or print a QR code?
Yes, on every plan. Choose "NFC tag or printed QR code" on the send step and nothing is emailed to anyone: you get a link and a QR code with a transparent background, as PNG and SVG. Write the link to any NFC sticker with a free app, or print the code, and it tears open when they tap or scan. It is the same one Spark as any card. For a list, upload a spreadsheet of names and take the whole batch back as a zip of codes.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days, no explanation needed, unless the card has already been opened by the recipient, at which point it has done its job. Sparks are refundable while unused.
Do you sell my email address?
No. Not to anyone, ever, including in an acquisition. The privacy page says the same thing in more words.
You will not be asked for money until you have seen exactly what you are buying.
